Mark Engstrand
Mark has been a leader in Lakeshore Real Estate sales for almost 10 years.
Many people ask, Where did Mark come up with "The Marketeer " ? In the mid 1980's Mark had won Mercury Outboard awards for being in the top 5 of 5000
registered Mercury outboard dealers. This was the Mercury Outboard dealer congress award.
Mark also was in the top 100 dealers for several years for Mercruiser sterndrives. Because of Mark's continued sales success and market share, Mercury and Mercruiser executives in Fon du lac Wisconsin sent the jet to pick Mark up for lunch with them at the factory. Upon entering the executive lunchroom the 5 group executives yelled out....Here comes " The Marketeer" .
Mark has won top real estate awards year after year , including the Leadership Circle Award,the Presidents Circle Award and 2 times in a row the Masters Circle Award which only 1% of the Realtors ever receive. Mark has had approximately 500 hours of extended education and has not had one complaint with the Commerce Department.
Mark grew up on Gull Lake and lives there now. He is very active in the Gull
Lake Chain of Lakes Association. He has been on the Board of Directors about 8 years and was one of the members who convinced the Army Corp. of Engineers to leave the minimum flow where it is and to allow the lake level to stay up at a higher level.
Mark has been successful in his life with 2 major hobbies, sailboat racing and snowmobile racing. Over the years Mark raced X boats, C-scows, M-16s Hobie Cats and a J-24. Mark was a top sailor in the Gull Lake Yacht Club growing up. Later as skipper of a Hobie Cat 16, Mark made the top 10 in the Divisionals.
Marks sailboat racing days ended with winning several regattas as skipper of his J-24. He won "Yachtsman of the year" from the Saylorville Yacht Club for the best over-all record for the season and winning 5 series and regattas around the Midwest. Mark won 1st place in the open-class at Donnybrook on the oval track in 1969 beating the unbeaten Arctic Cat snowmobile factory team . Castrol motor oil because of this picked Mark to drive the " Castro Special " . Mark went on to win a snowmobile World Championship in Boonville New York.
